Not ho...
Big Edit: Well, things change..It is now snowing outside. over an inch since I wrote this post. We may be having fresh snow for Christmas after all.
Ho..Ho, just ho-hum. We will have a white Christmas, probably not any new snow, but it is cold enough at night that the snow from our previous storm has not all melted. Especially the piles left by the snowplow. Piles and piles of dirty snow beside the road. I will maybe have more pics tomorrow. Nothing exciting going on right now.
Getting my shop a little more complete. Put up the pegboard and some nice shelves. I need more as I probably have more stuff than will fit in there.
Got out three more boxes of Christmas Lights, maybe I will get a chance to put up some more tomorrow. Works out great. One box for each window that can be seen from the street. Will get pics of those too.
Yesterday, my sister and I planned the Christmas morning breakfast and dinner. She ordered Dish TV today and it will be connected on Wednesday. With that said, on Christmas Day should be some good TV.
Redskins are getting killed on MNF. I like the Redskins...

Is it over yet...
For the last 3 days, the big city problems have invaded this small mountain town. Our little hide-a-way is now front page news.
Read all about it here : http://www.redding.com/news/2009/dec/17/chico-man-identified-burney-bank-shooter/
This was defintely a suicide by police. Read the story by checking the link above. Short story is the man rode the bus 60 miles into town, carrying two guns with plenty of ammo, walked into the bank, shot two customers, had the teller ring the police alarm and when they showed up, he began firing. He also held several employees hostage during this time. About 50 shots were fired during a 3 hour period. Swat team finally took him out.
He arrived on a bus. No vehicle, therefore no attempt at a getaway. He wanted to die right there and didn't care who he took with him.
The two customers shot, luckily will recover, physically. Emotionally, they and the bank employees have a tough road to recovery. Affects all of us. Whole downtown was closed off and traffic rerouted for two and a half days. Just this afternoon they opened the road through town. This happened on Tuesday and today is Thursday.
Seems like there have only been 3 people shot and killed in this town during the last 40 some years.
Can we go back to normal yet....?
