Day 2...
Day 2 of what? Oh never mind, just day 2. One thing most people take for granted is traffic. For almost 20 years my first wake up was probably the garbage collectors at about 4:15 AM in the neighborhood. Then there was the increasing traffic as it passed by my house from about 5 AM and the beginning of "rush hour". That time of commuting to work from about 5 AM to 8 AM. There was also the increasing sub-roar of traffic from the I-205 freeway. All day long you could hear it in the background.
Sirens. Lots of sirens. Coming and going to the hospital, just down the hill, ambulances had to run past my front yard. Police also had to travel in front of my house. I lived on the main thoroughfare in town.
During the night traffic was continuous until about 2 AM. Then slowed to about a car a minute til the morning rush hour.
Now I have nothing. I live on a dead-end street. At the dead end there is a dirt road that connects the same named street up the hill, about 220 feet. My property borders the street for 200 feet. Those who live up there sometimes use it. So I get about 3 cars a day going past my house. Hiway 299E, the main road, is about a half mile away so the only noise I get from that is the jake-brakes on logging trucks. We have logging trucks. Lots and lots of logging trucks.
No sirens hardly at all. Maybe one a week.

Spring into....
...Snow, ha ha ha. Just checked the weather report for this week. Cloudy and rain/snow showers. Night time temps are 20-27 degrees. Burr.
Probably won't be any sunrise for Sunrise Service on Easter morning at church next week. Oh, and by the way, who decided that Easter was on the 4th this year. Way too early. Along the same thought, time change is just crazy. That was just the dumbest thing ever.
Finally became a legal driver in California. Got my new driver license last week.
Drive on.....
